Yesterday it was announced that Peter Dundas, the former artistic director at Emilio Pucci, has been appointed as the new creative director for Roberto Cavalli. In regards to the perfect pairing, Dundas stated, “This is a homecoming for me. It is an honor for me to continue to evolve the wonderful world of Roberto Cavalli and I am very excited by the possibilities and potential of this unique brand. I cannot wait to get started.”  Dundas served as Cavalli’s chief designer from 2002 to 2005.

The Cavallis said choosing Dundas stemmed from “the desire to evolve a style that combines glamour, tradition and innovation, recognized worldwide as the signature of Cavalli since the birth of the house.”

Expect Peter Dundas to bring Cavalli’s RTW line an enticing mixture of prints and colors.  Although Cavalli currently produces beautiful pieces, Dundas’ mastery of exotic and sexy clothes will definitely be evident in his first collection with Cavalli.  The line is set to be released in September 2015.  Stay tuned.  This is going to be sexy. ~xxxooo
