Let me be the first to say, “Happy Spring!” Today marks the first day of the Spring 2013 season, and I’m not sure if anyone is more excited about it than me. The colors of spring are absolutely phenomenal. Cool colors mixed with primary colors….and although “emerald” is the color of the season, my favorite of all has to be “linen”. Maybe it’s “poppy red” or “grayed jade”. I honestly can’t choose a favorite, so my plan is to mix them all. I know you’re all pondering what you will wear for spring, or more than that, what you will buy for spring. Well, you are in luck! Below are all the components needed to complete your perfect spring wardrobe.
My top pick for spring is color blocking. Color blocking is here to stay, so you can mix and match any of the colors listed on the above Pantone color chart and you will not violate any fashion laws. Another really haute trend that will transition into spring is leather. From tops and skirts to accented pieces, leather (real or faux) is forever. Stripes are an important factor in spring trends, and the black and white era is just getting warm. Peek-a-boo and cut-out dresses are all the rave, and mixing prints still provides a fashion rush. There are so many great factors in creating the perfect spring wardrobe. However, if you have a great maxi dress (or a few), the perfect denim shorts and pieces with any or all of the above you are on the road to haute spring fashion.
