Love [luv]: noun, verb

1. A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another.  2. Enamored of. 3. To need.  4. A feeling of warm, personal attachment.

I had been in the healthcare profession for many years, and there was a time I believed it fulfilled me.  I was helping others (which is my natural state), and I thought that made me happy.  That was until right before my 30th birthday I asked myself an important question….”What truly makes you happy?”  After I ran down the list of obvious things, I realized my career did not make the list.  Writing, however, topped the list.  So, I began writing a book (which will be released Spring/Summer 2012).  Even though I was writing, I continued to try to make my profession work for me by obtaining a position that offered more.  I was afraid of the unknown, and to be honest my job was my security blanket.  Before I knew it, it was three years later and I found myself posing the same question, but this time it was different.  I hated my job so much it made me physically ill.  I knew I had to make some changes.  One day, a friend posed another question, “When are you going to start your fashion blog?”  This was something I had NEVER even considered, but I immediately started writing my visions.  I love fashion and glamour, and I love to write.  Why hadn’t I thought of it?  Two days later I had built a site and published my first 7 articles (I couldn’t stop writing – LOL).  For the first time in years, I had found my joy.  That was a little over a month, and over 100 articles ago.  I have made great sacrifices in order to live out my dreams using my God-gifts, and for the first time in my life, I’VE TAKEN A CHANCE ON ME!  I appreciate you for also believing in me!  I’ve spent years supporting the dreams of others. Now I’m supporting my own, and it feels wonderful.  Everything starts somewhere (coal to diamonds, etc.).  I don’t know where this path will lead, but I am soooo excited that I’m just going to keep skipping through it.  THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF MY JOURNEY!!!!  Now, let’s create some fashion magic… xxxooo
